A Breath Away From Election Anxiety

2020 has seen as series of unprecedented events and everyday we are still shocked at the state of our world. As cliched as this catchphrase is…what a time to be alive 👀

Like many of you, we too are still waiting anxiously as election votes roll in. Voting Trump OUT is the glimmer of hope the U.S. needs. There is just so much riding on this year’s election that it’s been hard to suppress the urge to watch minute by minute updates.

As much as we are trying to keep up, we have set an intention to take breathers and unplug as needed. And we encourage others to do the same, even if it’s just for 30 minutes! Our go-to today is picking up Glennon Doyle’s book “Untamed.”

This book has got a *feeling* all sorts right now—childhood nostalgia, a reminder that all relationships bring some pain but its (unconditional) love that makes us stay, its scary the extent that society conditions us to be a certain way— but above all, Doyle inspires us to: free ourselves from our cages.

“I felt an electric restlessness buzzing inside me. It was a constant thunder rolling right there beneath my skin - a thunder made of joy and pain and rage and longing and love too deep, scalding, and tender for this world…A women who is full of herself knows and trusts herself enough to say and do what must be done. She lets the rest burn.”

Well, we’re going to keep indulging in each page of Untamed, while keeping tabs on the elections…We hope everyone finds their way of *taking care* and knows that no matter what, we will push through together 💞
